We were last connected about a year ago and I was working on my project, Red City, supporting our single ‘Hold You’. We had a lot of success and were added to several radio stations like The Beat 94.5, Streetz 104.7, K94.5, Galaxie Radio and more, across Canada and reached as high as #24 on the iTunes Dance Charts.
Unfortunately, Red City has since decided to disband and I have been working hard on my new project, LUVLYF. This project is extremely close to my heart and supports my message of positivity and living every day to its fullest.
- What's the concept behind your new music video for "Rush”?
The official lyric video is about three girls just embracing life, going on a road trip and dancing in the headlights of a car [haha]. I am of the opinion that you can feel the rush any time... with your partner, with your friends, with your family, etc. I really want any imaging and branding that is associated with LUVLYF to give off the vibe of beauty, excitement and freedom.
I’m currently in the pre-production phase of an official music video but am so proud of the lyric video and made it for everyone who loves the song and wants to sing along. :)
I have been working with my writing partner and producer, Davor Vulama, for years. He co-wrote ‘Hold You’ with me and has worked with everyone from Andre 3000 to Ashley Tisdale.
'Rush' was written right after Red City disbanded. I was going through a very heavy situation and was in the mindset to write a song about heartbreak, frustration and anger, but once the process was complete, I came away with an inspirational song about love and feeling alive.
We pulled in the talented Vanic to co-produce the track and I am so incredibly happy and excited about the final product. I feel like the song encompasses who I am as an artist.
- Where can fans preview and purchase the single?
Well, let me tell you… :) You can find Rush on the following sites:
RUSH on SoundCloud
RUSH on VEVO
Rush is currently available on iTunes for pre-sale until September 30th, 2014. Any pre-sale purchases will go towards my chart placement on iTunes once the single is officially released. If you enjoy the song, I would really appreciate the support in purchasing the single during the pre-sale phase... any then any time after that.

- What's the inspiration behind your new moniker “LUVLYF?"
I have made the conscious decision to be thankful for every day and enjoy every moment of my life by doing what I love. I wanted my project and brand to scream that from the rooftops.
We all go through extremely hard and challenging times in our lives where we just need someone to tell us it’s going to be okay and that there’s a reason to love life. I believe music invokes emotion and I want to make music that people listen to when they are having their best days and their worst days... always encouraging them. I think we all need that reminder sometimes.
- Is a full EP or album in the works? When can we expect to hear it?
Absolutely it is! I have a few different songs currently in the works and am collaborating with other amazing songwriters and producers. Definitely expect to hear a lot of noise from LUVLYF in the not so distant future but no official release date yet.
- What plans do you have for upcoming shows and promotion?
I am releasing ‘Rush’ to Canadian radio in September 2014 and am working hard to get my name and music out to the world. On September 19th, I am performing with Paris & Simo, Thomas Newson and others at the Simon Fraser University Fall Kickoff Concert. Tickets are on sale now and details can be found on the Fall Kickoff Facebook page
